Close up of a door complete with spy hole, from St. Oran's Chapel (Reilig Odhrain), on Iona. Oran was a relative and disciple of St. Columba and the chapel is next to the more famous abbey
6 by 4 print in an 8 by 6 single card mount (matt black)
(The picture is printed on chlorine and acid free paper. The single white core mount and backing board are both single layer with a neutral ph non-acidic white core card. Watermark will be absent from the final image )
I was struck by the contrast of the metalwork and the grain of the aged wood. Most visitors passed quickly by St Oran's Chapel making for the Abbey next door, but a family obsession with old graveyards made us stop and look around. There is royal blood in our (very distant) lineage so who knows, maybe its a family thing that this picture is here.
