Hathor - messenger style bag with cow applique
Description
I am very sceptical. Who would want to walk around with an appliquéd cow on their bag? Albeit a very nice cow I might add, with large eyes (two white buttons) a vintage floral print body on a blue felt background. Finished off with a vintage braid border all round. Would you?
So, the bag has been languishing in a storage box, but I thought it was time I brought it out and popped it into my shop!
The bag has been made using a burgundy corduroy fabric (lovely colour!) It is a messenger-style bag, but much smaller and the long wide strap fits very comfortably over the shoulder.
Inside the bag, the lining is a pretty cotton lawn fabric. There is a small pocket made from the corduroy and a magnetic clasp closure. Under the flap is Velcro fastening.
Are there any cow lovers out there who would like to own this bag? I don’t think so. Prove me wrong and buy it!

Inspiration
I have an artist friend who ran a small local art gallery and craft shop. She told me that cows were very popular with people. She held a month long themed event at the gallery where artists of all mediums were invited to submit work to be shown. At the time I was inspired to make this handbag, but I didn’t submit it to be shown in the gallery.
