This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A lovely white lily with bright green leaves all framed with pale yellow glass.
I have made this in good time to welcome spring and Easter.
The suncatcher is in the form of a picture. It has stamens made of wire. The lily fits to the front of the frame in some places to give a 3-dimensional effect and the spaces round the lily are not filled.
The suncatcher is 4 inches square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top. It shines beautifully when hanging in the light and shows the lovely textures of the glass.
This will make a wonderful present for someone else or just for yourself as it is very special and absolutely unique.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
