Mr Darcy!

Each of the eight Butterflies are built from the text of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

The extracts from this wonderful book are carefully chosen by me - Each butterfly contains a phrase or expression from the book that makes me smile in some way.

Text runs chronologically through the butterflies and contain extracts from the following chapters - 1, 5, 11, 19, 27, 51, 55, 58.

Each triple layer butterfly is hand cut, hand built, threaded and attached. The butterflies rest on a slightly off white background and although dainty in appearance - they will certainly outlive me.

The piece will come to you in a black wood shadow box measuring 33cm x 24cm (outer dimensions of the frame) which can be either freestanding or hung.
