This beautiful South African rutilated quartz has a handmade textured silver setting. The stone has long black rutiles that look like needles in the quartz. The silver has been textured by passing it through a rolling mill with some fabric and this texture, which is on the inside and outside of the setting goes perfectly with the quartz and can be seen through the stone.

The oval quartz pendant hangs from two rows of blackened (oxidised) silver rolo chain to tie in with the black rutiles in the stone. The fastening is a black handmade S hook.

I think this necklace is a timeless classic and would be suited to someone who doesn't chase fashions whims and who is sure about her own style.
