There's nothing like a big wedge of cake like a doorstop; it doesn't have to be your birthday for a moment to indulge! Proudly display your hard cake baking efforts with this simple red and white cake stand.

I created this ceramic cake stand by hand throwing it on the wheel in two parts, the rimmed top plate and the circular pedestal base. The top is glazed with a glossy white glaze ideal for keeping clean and the bottom has been dipped in rich ruby red.

This stand can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

The stand is 8 inches (20.5 cm) in diameter and 2.7 inches (6 cm) in height.

As much as I love our furry friends but this piece was created in a pet free and smoke free studio.
