This little beauty features a front panel made from hand-painted silk. The rest of the bag and its lining are synthetic fabric reclaimed from a vintage Japanese obi (the sash used to tie a kimono). I think it may be rayon, but I couldn't swear to it.

Interlined with cotton plus a a stiff interfacing, Groovy Kinda Love is quite strong and stiff, and will stand up by itself, holding its shape beautifully. Inside are two pockets, the larger fastening with a zip and the smaller open for your phone. The bag fastens with a re-used vintage plastic button.
