Party or wedding dress
Description
A generous size 14 dress in cream viscose with a cracked ice woven design, it has lots of lace, and beads, even a few crystals! Over it there is a sort of long waistcoat in a wild silk patchwork with georgette inserts. The hem of the dress is high at the front and just touches the ground at the back, with a little train of net and lace.
If you want something for a winter wedding, or a romantic party it would be just the thing, with the quilted waistcoat to keep out the chill and the light dress underneath.
This was my final piece for my degree
Inspiration
This is one of my dresses from my final collection for my fashion degree (wrong size for me).
The the inspiration for the whole collection was snowy, rocky mountains and pioneer women (the patchwork!)
I wanted something very light and delicate but with a practical edge, cream rather than white as I think white is a bit stark and intractable, cream is more versitile.All the beads were sewn on by hand, mine!
