The piece pictured is not available and is currently on auction at my facebook page and is called "Even the savage beast". The colours in newspaper strips were specially selected and handspun into yarn before creating this piece. I felt newspaper was right for this piece because every song and piece of music tells us stories - of the composer, the listener, the person who played it to us. The stories in the papers are spun by the people involved, the journalists, the readers, by my altering it into art and by you, if you choose to purchase this piece and make it part of your story. Music also has the power to transport us back in time, as newspaper take us back to a particular date....to earlier parts of our life story when we heard it. These could be bad times (the red) or good times (the blue). The words have been searched for and selected from news stories to give them a new life as part of something beautiful....turning bad news into good.
