This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I have made It is made with beautiful shades and textures of sky blue and some turquoise coloured glass.
Its head is an urudescent dark blue glass nugget, it has curly hair just to make it a little bit quirky and there are bright blue coloured glass nuggets on the end of its wings. On the end of the antennae I have soldered tiny silver butterflies.
It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely ornament for any room. This would make a super and quite unique present.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the butterfly.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
It is approximately 5.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall.
I can make this in other colours if you prefer. The butterfly shown in the first and last photos is the blue one for sale here but I have also included 2nd and 3rd photos of 2 previous butterflies I have made in different colours in this 'bauble' design. The 4th photo shows my other butterfly design in rainbow shades (this one is for sale on Folksy as a separate item). If you would like either design in different colours then please contact me.
