Dragonfly Suncatcher Stained Glass Pink Bead-Tailed
Description
I've just sold this one but will be making another. If you would like one please shout and I will make one for you right away.
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a recent new design as I wanted a smaller dragonfly to add to my catalogue.
A very pretty pink dragonfly with pink wings and pink beads for a body and tail.
The eyes are bright flower beads and there are wire curls on the head. The tail is slightly flexible (but please be gentle !) and is made from foil beads wired together.
It looks really lovely hanging in the window where it catches the light. The suncatcher hangs from a strong nylon thread which is securely attached to the top of the dragonfly. It is 4inches wide and high.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
This will make a wonderful present especially for a child but please note that it is made of glass and is not a toy but an ornament.
The first and last pictures are of the pink dragonfly for sale here, the other 3 are of others I have made previously to show it can be made in different colours if you prefer. If you do please just ask.
Inspiration
I made the first of these as a 'bow' to attach to my lovely Grandson George's christening present. Liked it so much I made another sold that so made another... and then another..
