Description
This sumptuous scarf was hand knitted from the most luxurious Rowan kid silk mohair yarn first and then felted in a traditional Japanese way called shibori.
The scarf is chic and understated with just a few shibori bobbles adorning each end.
The colour is as near to original as the digital photography will allow, but it's a gorgeous neutral beigey brown varigated shade.
length 60 inches (152 centemetres)
width 15 inches (40 centemetres)
Please note that due to the nature of felting process the scarf varies slightly in width and density.

Inspiration
There are a lot of things that inspire me. The whole world is one big inspiration.
I am, I must admit, mostly drawn to colour. Colours play the biggest part in my constructions, single colours, the depth, the intensity or its lack, the way they look so different when put against other colours, the mixture of similar shades, the clashes of opposites, the unusual pairings... The infinite combinations, the endless number of subtle shades that is what inspires me most.
When I shop for yarn the first thing I notice is colour. I am drawn to it because it reminds me of something I once saw, something I wanted to remember, and then I touch the yarn and I'm hooked. And when I get it home and look at it for a while suddenly i get ideas what to turn it into.
That's how designs are born...
