I was asked to embroider and create something whimsical and pretty, suitable to hang off a cupboard key in a little girl’s room (or maybe not so little, if you’re a romantic like I am!!) for Stitch magazine. This simple design uses elementary embroidery stitches and is suitable for a beginner, however the shoes are initially quite difficult to work with so if you have experience with needlecraft of any kind, it would be easier for you.
The ballet shoes are made in the UK and are of satin fabric, with soft pure leather soles.
You will need to freehand the design onto the shoes, using the pattern as a guide. A full kit is supplied which includes the ballet shoes, the ribbons, all embroidery threads, needles, beads, beading thread, 2 full color photographs, pattern and how to trace, clear step by step instructions and a stitch glossary.
All of my designer kits are beautifully packaged and presented in sturdy carrier bags, making them very suitable as gifts.
