Postcard set of 5 mini protest banners in ribbon

Description

Each set is wrapped in our own ribbon

As a collective we make (and encourage others to make) small unthreatening protest banner on a global justice or poverty issue that we care about. Then we put it up (with cable ties) in a relevant public space. Take a photograph of it and write a add it to our blog explaining our saying and location in more detail for people to read. We hope that people notice them, think about its saying and then discuss the injustice issue with their friends as well as inspire them to act to change the world for the better. Now we have craftivists all over the world making Mini Protest Banners .

We have them all over the UK (London, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol), Germany (berlin), USA (LA) and Australia (Melbourne). We have also gained press for this project from Ink-d Gallery, The Observer magazine, Mr X Stitch as well as support from craft bloggers such as Guardian Craft Writer Perri Lewis, fashionista like Hanna Thomas and the Godmother of Craftivism Betsy Greer

Hopefully these postcards can be used to provoke people to think and talk about the issues on them and inspire them to make their own using one of our kits!

Inspiration

I made this pack because lots of people asked via the website or in person if they could buy the photographs of these Mini Protest Banners to put up around their house or give to people to provoke them to take action and never forget to fight for a better world for all. I think that's a pretty great excuse and I hope people like them and they cause conversations if friends/family see one on the fridge door or someone's desk at work
