Fun and Funky Textile Bead Statement Necklace
Description
This is a gorgeous necklace made with my unique handmade beads.
I have made some of the textile beads by crocheting each one in a variety of yarns,they have then been felted. The next stage is embellishing them with embroidery or needlefelting then finally stitching on beads.
I also use freeform crochet beads made with ribbon or glittery yarns, and fabric beads.
The Orange cord has been made by using freeform crochet and a cotton mix yarn.
Each Necklace is individually handmade in my studio in Somerset UK.
Each one of these necklaces is a work of Art and can take up to 10 hours to make. If you like to wear something unique,fun and funky then this is for you :)
There is no fastening on this necklace making it easy to wear.
Measures approx 29 around.
A great necklace for 'standing out in the crowd'

Inspiration
The inspiration for these necklaces originally started when I discovered some vintage embroidery patterns. I wanted to use traditional embroidery techniques to make something modern and funky. At the same time I was experimenting making my own beads. The felted beads I use are unique in that they are soft and I am able to easily stitch into them. Unlike the traditional felt balls that are quite hard. I hope you like the results.
