A glorious flower brooch made from an original map of Central London. At its centre is a glass cabochon showing 221b Baker Street. I made this as a commission for a dedicated Sherlock fan and liked the results so much that I wanted to share it!

Size: apprx 2.75 inches in diameter, or about 7 cm. It fastens with a silver plated pin back.

Colours are largely soft golds, pinks and white.

I use real maps, so looking closely you can see fragments of London place names, such as Covent Garden, the Thames, South Kensington and Mayfair, as well as the lesser known environs.

The paper is coated with a light matt sealant, so it is waterproof and tear resistant while keeping the papery texture. It still retains its flexibility though, and each petal of the flower can move individually.
