Returning to one of my favourite subjects, the aesthetics of deteriorated surfaces, this image was shot on an old farm. An examination of the pure beauty created by the action of nature on the man-made, it is also an invitation to consider the inevitable decay of all things. However we try to protect ourselves, whatever barriers we construct, there are always forces greater than ourselves against which we have no defence. We cannot shut ourselves away from the world, but must instead choose the way in which we interact with it. Embracing life, not shying away from it, is surely the only option which makes sense, when we are here for so short a time.

This is a stunning large 24x16 inch (60x40cm) print on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl 285g paper, printed with Epson Ultrachrome K3 pigment inks for true museum quality and colourfastness certified for 100 years. Print comes with an additional 1.2" (3cm) white border for easy matting and framing. Very limited edition of just 25 prints, individually hand-signed and numbered in the border and on the reverse.
