Eco Hands Free, a practical yet stylish Rucksack style handbag, crocheted with a combination of thick brown mottled 100% wool & 100% cream coloured cotton yarns.

The item is unique & hand crocheted by myself, to my own unique design. The rucksack style handles allow the handbag to be worn on your back, are created by crocheting a conitnuous spiraling tube of cotton, then secured at three points to the back of the handbag. The long tube ensures that the straps are comfortable, with a little give & stretch.

Eco Hands Free was created by starting at the base, I crocheted the mottled thick brown wool, on a large hook in a continuouly expanding circular shape, to form the base, I then joined with the sturdy cream cotton, on a smaller hook & crocheted in a continous line, to form the tight weave body of the handbag. This gives the effect of a twist, or spiral to the crochet.

As I approached the top of the handbag, I added spaces in the neck of the purse, for a crocheted drawstring.
Added a tab of wool & cotton combo, with a button hole loop, so the handbag can be secured on large lucite coat button & then crocheted onto a envelope shaped flap over closure, securely sewn on in the same cream cotton.

This is mixture of 100% wool & 100% cotton yarns, item, so it can be hand washed with care at 30'C, dried flat & shaped whilst damp
