This beautiful leather book will make an Ideal present, or self-indulgence. It would please anyone for New Year

This book has an interesting cover in deep green textured leather, with a nice shine.

The pages are 200 gsm watercolour paper, which means it is suitable for watercolour painting, water-soluble graphite, pen, pencil and most other media. The paper is very robust so will take a wash, lots of punishment with an eraser, rubber solution, scumbling etc.

The pages are hand-stitched into three broad leather thongs with a variegated linen thread, with an exposed binding and a herringbone construction. The leather straps are secured with brass-coloured metal buttons, three on the front and three on the back.

The leather is sourced from the hand-made shoe trade so is really nice and different from most other leather products.
It is approximately A6 - 10cm x 16 cm - (4 x 6 ins)

It will fit into the hand nicely, and is ideal for the pocket, a bag, a backpack etc.
the book has an external, shaped, wrap -around to keep the pages protected and this is secured with an antique coloured magnet behing a matching button.

As a hand-pieced book, it will open completely flat without endangering the binding, unlike a commercial book which would probably snap.
