japanese tree pendant
Description
The japanese tree is the most popular design of all my art tile pendants. I have decoupaged the artwork onto a high-clarity glass tile, which magnifies and enhances the image so you get really deep colour intensity. It's mounted on a sterling silver bail and strung on a satin ribbon (it's shown here with a cream ribbon, but if you'd prefer another colour just specify this at checkout).
Inspiration
I wanted to find a way to make beautiful images wearable as jewellery, and experimented with a few techniques before I found the beautiful high-clarity glass used in these pendants and rings. I chose to use the glass because of the effect it has on colour images of drawing out and deepening the detail and colour in the design. I sourced some new and some vintage artwork to create a variety of designs for this range.
