Ellie is made from coffee and cinnamon dyed linen and as usual,sanded back for primitive loveliness !Her hat and dungarees are made from duck egg blue slightly stretchy cotton fabric,both are trimmed with rusty bells.In her pocket is a little mousie made from the same linen with with glass bead eyes and vintage button thread whiskers. The neck ruff is vintage lace (which has a specific name - but i can't think of it )! and is probably from the 1920's, going by the design.I have made the alphabet block from papier mache trimmed with fabric and hand printed with letters.
Ellie (as all my elephants are called) stands about 53 cms tall from the base to the tip of her hat.She has two supports that are at the back of her legs and go into her body and into the base of the block.
Ellie is sold as a collectable and is not suitable for children .
