This sturdy bowl is made from around 3 or 4 of my bosses old Grazia magazines. Stuck together with strong glue, it is very durable and has quite a weight to it (pick up 4 magazines and see what I mean!)

I have been using a magazine bowl to store keys, coins and other bits and bobs for many months now and the my bowl is still in top condition - these bowls are very hard-wearing.

Measuring around 24cm across and 6cm high this bowl is a nice size and has a gentle sloping rise to it. it would make a conversation-starting fruit bowl or a truly original present.

I've always loved making things. I did Fine Art at university and now I work for a climate change charity where we try to encourage people to Mend and Make Do and live in an anti-waste way. So I collect everything from material scraps to glass jars to magazines to buttons and keep them all my craft box until I can find a way to upcycle them into something new and wonderful. This bowl was made from quite a few Grazia magazines, bought by my boss and given to me after she had read them so I could make them into bowls.
