A paper garland Christmas decoration created from old unwanted books, in this case a copy of Alice in Wonderland.

The handcut strips show John Tenniel's original illustrations along with fragments of the text. The paper is aged a soft cream colour, and I have teamed this with rich red jute twine for a wonderful warm Yuletide look.

The layered strips catch the light and glow wonderfully against a window or a lamp, and will add a literary touch to your home!

The garland is 8 feet long, or about 4 yards/4 metres. It features 16 paper lantern shapes, which is twice as many as my other garlands.
