This Sindy crop top is made from cherry-coloured velvet and is fully-lined in black watermarked mock satin. It is edged along the bottom with black ribbon and fastens at the back with black velcro. It matches Sindy's red velvet mermaid tail perfectly!
From Xavier and Xenobia's Bon Yule collection of dolly fashion, this item will also fit Barbie and other similarly-proportioned 11.5 fashion dolls. Limited edition - only five have been made - and hand-sewn, each item is slightly different and so the garment you receive may not be identical to the one shown.

Inspiration
Walking out one day, I had an idea for a dress for Sindy.. The dress would be sleeveless with a three-piece bodice and two-piece A-line skirt. Each piece of fabric would be different to give a patchwork effect. I was so eager to get my ideas down, I bought a second-hand Barbie and used her to sketch out a pattern in my notebook there and then. My end-result dress was a definite success and I've made it from all sorts of fabrics. I liked the fit of the bodice so much I started using the pattern for crop tops too.
