Baby Acorn Fairy
Description
These sweet little acorn fairies wear acorn caps for hats and are swaddled up in colourful blankets resting patiently in their foraged walnut beds awaiting a new home. Some of the baby fairies are asleep, some waking up (one eye open!) and some are already awake. Appeals to the inner child in us all. Their names relate to the colours of their blankets as seen in the photo of them all lined up (Bluebell, Lavender, Thistle, Rouge, Rose, Pumpkin, Peach, Lemon, Sunflower, Sweetpea and Moss). Inspiration
As an only child growing up in the countryside, I was always playing in the fields and the woods picking up items such as acorns, chesnuts and pretty leaves. I always beleived fairies and pixies lived in the woods and my imagination can only be described as enchanted. I started making the little acorn fairies and about a year later, on eating some walnuts thought what wonderful beds they would make for the fairies, the full idea was born!
