I was inspired to make this design of toy horse from memories of similar style toys when I was small....it fills me with nostalgia and love!

Made using a really beautiful vintage 1970s heavier weight cotton in shades of blue, green, lilac and white and filled with hypo-allergenic toy stuffing. I have sewn in a bright orange wool mane and tail and added ears with a bright green and white polka dot lining. The eyes, with long black lashes, are sewn on using black embroidery thread.

Measuring 35cm long and 26cm high.

A really lovely pony which would be a lovely gift for a child, or would look great adorning your shelves as room decoration.
