Breaking news: there is no new news! Still, life goes on & the No New News Notebook provides you with a sampler of mini fairy tale news stories to read while you wait for something to happen, plus space to record the important events in your own life.

Handily pocket-sized, this eco-friendly, triple function zine, notebook & any-year diary consists of:

* 4 Enchanted Times front page stories (printed on front & back of covers): No New News, Peas in Our Time, The Sweetest Thing? and Spin!
* 2 faux small ads from Enchanted Times sponsors: Stack-A-Mat and Fast-As-You-Can CoCo Cocoa
* 31 pages headed with days, dates & months for you to circle/highlight as relevant, & printed with lines (in two sections) for your notes, plans, to-do lists etc

The No New News Notebook is staple-bound, 36 pages long, & measures approx 10.5 x 15cm (A6/quarter-size). Inner pages are printed on 115gsm (off-white) recycled paper with 250gsm (off-white) recycled card covers. Notebooks have been professionally printed using high quality, vegetable oil-based inks from design by TangleCrafts & including various vintage fairy tale illustrations by Charles Robinson and Walter Crane.

The No New News cover story is brand new for this notebook; the other headline stories have been abridged from previous editions of the Enchanted Times Mini zine.

Inspiration

Most of the things I make are to pander to my own obsessions, and this is no exception. I'm addicted to diaries but am not diligent enough to keep one daily, for any length of time. This date-if-you-want-to style suits me perfectly; and if a date isn't relevant, the page is still perfect for notes & lists etc. I'm also a sucker for multi-functionality, so was very happy when I figured out how to throw a zine into the diary/notebook mix, too. I love the idea of having something readable in your pocket, ready to browse when you have a spare 5 minutes, but not taking up any unnecessary space. Maybe I need to create a new portmanteau word to celebrate the creation - how would you feel about a new diarine for the new year...?
