Beadwork Garnet Crystal Bracelet
Description
This is an elegant beaded bracelet in garnet and hematite colours - such a sophisticated combination.
This is the third bracelet I have made in this style. The first (in cream and bronze) was snapped up within an hour of it appearing on my craft fair stall, the second I made (in topaz and bronze) for my sister's birthday and this one (my favourite so far!) is now making an appearance here at Bonny Lass.
The bracelet measures 8" (21cm) but can be worn as a bangle if you have a smaller wrist.
HOW I MADE IT
The base was made first by brick-stitching all of the hematite triangle beads together. Then the larger firepolish crystals were added, stitching round each one in pewter coloured seed beads, with tiny garnet firepolish crystals placed along the edges.
The toggle clasp was made by peyote stitching round a larger firepolish bead and stitching it to the bracelet with the loop made by stitching several times round a circle of tiny red seed beads attached to the base.
I didn't keep track of how long it took to make - but it was quite a few hours!
