The image depicts a forest of multicolored/patterned trees and nestling within the branches of one tree is a tree house in which sits a reading girl and a ginger cat. There are fairy lights in the stretched across the trees and a yellow ladder leads to the tree house.
The illustration is printed onto high quality glossy photo paper, which brings out the vivid colors and details in the image.

How Lucy created this artwork:
1. The trees, tree house, girl and cat were drawn free hand in pencil onto a sheet of white paper.
2. The pencil drawing was traced in black fine-liner onto tracing paper.
3. This image was then scanned onto a computer and the black outline was refined (which took flipping ages).
4. The individual leaves were created in the same way as above, then cut and pasted onto the branches.
5. Then the color, texture and pattern were added using scanned in fabrics, hand drawn pattern and found textures.
