This unique modern embroidered art work is stitched directly onto hand pricked card.

The flowers are embroidered using smooth glossy Sulky Rayon 30 embroidery thread in pink and purple. I use the finest pricking tool and needle so there is no distortion to the holes giving a perfect neat finish. Each stitch is stitched twice to prevent the threads from twisting.

The different angles of the stitches give a 3 dimensional effect to the flowers. Although only two colours of thread are used positioning the picture in different lighting conditions gives the effect that many different shades of pink and purple have been used.

The pattern is my own design and includes 1560 pricked holes and 2160 stitches.

The flowers are stitched onto an 8 x 10 inch piece of smooth, bright white, Clairefontaine Maya 270g card. The art work is backed with the another piece of white card to seal the stitching and finished off with a Crafty Ferret sticker.

The work fits perfectly into a standard 8 x 10 inch picture frame. The picture frames shown are not included in the sale but were purchased from Wilkinsons. For the best effect and to complete the modern look I recommend a plain black or white frame.

The art work will be delivered in a protective plastic sleeve sandwiched between two sheets of sturdy packaging card in a padded envelope. To prevent the package from been forced through a letter box and damaged a signature will be required on delivery.
