I designed these simple dolls for my smallest grandchildren. They are just the right size for tiny hands to grasp and have a smiley face and a range of different textures for small people to explore. I use polyester suede for the face and arms because it has a nice 'peachy' feel and firm bright Laura Ashley cottons for the body. The doll is stuffed with polyester stuffing that meets safety specifications for flammability and cleanliness but, as always, keep away from fire and naked flame. The arms are securely fastened both through the body and again through the head. The hair is a knitted wig, sewn on securely. The face is embroidered with simple stitches, rather than painted, because I just don't think fabric paint, however fixed, goes with all that dribble! You can wash these dolls in the washing machine on a cool or delicate wash with a slow spin, I don't recommend tumble drying.
