Two turned legs from a old bureau rescued from a skip by my dad. I had hoped to convert these into a pair of elegant candlesticks, but that was about five years ago. I don't know what the wood is but it is covered in a layer of crusty varnish. Overall length is 40cm per leg. There are various slots in the square cut section at either end where they slotted into the original desk.
