Fossilised shells in resin and sterling silver pendant

Description

A pendant/necklace made from fossilised shells encased in resin.
This necklace features 2 fossilised shells found by me in the clay cliffs of Barton-on-Sea, Hampshire. I dug them from the clay cliffs and carefully cleaned them before encasing them in a clear epoxy resin oval. These fossilised shells are similar in shape to modern ones but are more textured when you look at them closely. They are approximately 40 million years old! The large bail is made from sterling silver wire. The drop of the pendant, including bail, is approximately 4.5cm (1 3/4") and its width is 4cm (1 5/8"). I will include a dark brown leather chord but the bail is large so you can remove it and pop it onto something else if you like.

This is a one-of-a-kind (OOAK) necklace. Your necklace will come to you in a handmade gift box as shown in the last picture. It will also come with a little card telling you a little about the fossils inside.
