Bright and Colourful Patchwork Quilt.

Handmade from an abundance of beautiful cotton fabrics including Kaffe Fassett and Batiks.

The design consists of sixteen bright star blocks - eleven Friendships Stars and five Eight Pointed Stars. I have used bright fabrics for the actual stars including turquoise, orange, yellow and bright pink.

I machine pieced the blocks and when sewn together they have formed a secondary diamond pattern in the lighter shades.

For the reverse, for an alternative look, I sewed together four stunning contrasting Batik fabrics - turquoise/purple, green, orange and pink/purple.

I filled the quilt with a light polyester wadding and machine quilted it with a diagonal pattern.

I finished it with a handmade double layer binding of a gorgeous purple/turquoise batik, machine sewn onto the front and then hand sewn to the back.

The quilt measures approximately 45½"/115cm square and weighs 660g.

This colourful quilt looks lovely outdoors on a sunny day spread across a bench or a chair for extra comfort. It would look stunning as a bedspread or topper on any size of bed.

Ideal to wrap around your knees in front of the TV or as a play mat for a little one.

Would also make a fabulous wall hanging.

Machine washable on a delicate setting. I have pre-washed all fabrics to prevent shrinkage and colour transfer.

All my items are made in a smoke-free environment.
