A beautiful piece of spalted sycamore was used for this footed bowl. The foot itself is a lesser marked piece of sycamore, I used this so as not to draw the focus away from the main outer bowl.On viewing the inside we have the same nice markings then the eye is drawn to the central piece of cherry, textured using hammer and punch, then painted with various acylic colours. Wooden and coloured beads threaded through a piece of leather add to the quirky feel of this piece.

Measurements are 210mm x 100mm ( 8 1/4ins x 4ins) and this piece has been finished with several coats of danish oil and beeswax.
