I've been doing careful research (watching reruns of Meerkat Manor) and have worked out my own pattern for a mob of these adorable little creatures.
This listing is for a standing meerkat. His back legs and tail have been wired to allow him to stand freely in the typical "tripod" stance, and his arms are wired so he can hang from...well, whatever you wish! He can also hold your pen, guard your phone, the ideas are endless!
Approximately 7" tall (18cm), standing, he is on alert for all possible dangers.
Not suitable for tinies due to seedbead eyes and wiring.

Inspiration
Long long ago, in a galaxy far far away....I was a teacher.
I had a long time off sick and watched a lot of Meerkat Manor...and one day I decided I'd knit a meerkat. My first kat was sitting down, but a few restless nights later I'd worked out how to wire him to make him stand up.
I never went back to teaching, knitting is much less stressful!
