These are handmade, one-off art dolls made from recycled fabrics, felt and yarn.
Each doll is a true individual with her own personality.
The base is made from calico which is sometimes coffee-dyed to achieve a unique skin colour. Her face is hand appliqued and embroidered with her own particular expression. Her hair is wound, stitched on, trimmed to shape and tied in bunches, and finally she is dressed in her primitive style skirt.
They are approximately 20cm(8") tall and their heads are 15cm(6") wide.
They make brilliant keepsakes and I have made several as brides and grooms.

Please note: These are not toys but decorative items for grown-up collectors. They are not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
