This is a hand decorated milk jug which has been made from slip cast earthenware. The turquoise coloured slip is applied before the glaze and the digital transfers are long lasting. The transfer decoration is based on the boats which are moored in Penzance and Newlyn harbours - the residence of a number of my relatives. I used coloured pencils and pen and ink to create the designs initially. These are scanned and computer manipulated (scaled down) before being made up into transfers. Silver lustre adds a decadent touch. The jug can technically be put into the dishwasher but I do not accept any responsibility for cracks in the glaze or fading of colour that a hot wash may cause!
