Uhura, Enterprise's Communications officer, wears Engineering Red and has her ear piece firmly in place. I reckon she wears it in her left ear because that's the one that is usually in shot. She also has big earrings, of course, and has darker fur than the average meerkat.

Like all First series MeerTrek crew she wears a Federation emblem (soon to become a communicator) proudly on her chest and has her ranking stripes on her sleeves.

As with my non-trekkie meerkats, her back legs and tail have been wired to allow her to stand freely in the typical "tripod" stance. She is approximately 6" tall (15cm).
