This unusual pair of ear dangles are made from an old broken skateboard deck. Skateboards are made from a 7 ply Canadian maple with a coloured outer layer. The earrings feature natural wood on one side and a tetris graphic on the other and are reversible.

The outer edges have been hand sanded and sealed with natural beeswax, which brings out the colour but offers a more natural finish than varnish.

The skateboard disks are just under 1cm in diameter and are supplied on silver plated ear wires with a 2.5cm length of figaro chain making the earrings 4cms in total length.

I belong to a family of skaters and I have an abundance of old broken and un-used skateboards laying around my house. My husband has mounted some in our house and is also making garden gates, chairs and tables out of the whole ones. I have bagsied the broken pieces to create this wonderful line of jewellery.
