This unique necklace has 25 beads made from an old broken skateboard deck. Skateboards are made from a 7 ply Canadian maple with a coloured outer layer. The necklace is reversible and has the Toy Machine graphic on one side and strawberry shortcake spots on the other. The beads spin and flip to give you an ever-changing look.

It has been hand sanded and sealed with clear polyurethane varnish which brings out the natural colour of the wood.

Each bead is 1cm is width and are spaced with deep red bone dividers. They are supplied on a 16" cable necklace with lobster clasp.

I belong to a family of skaters and I have an abundance of old broken and un-used skateboards laying around my house. My husband has mounted some in our house and is also making garden gates, chairs and tables out of the whole ones. I have bagsied the broken pieces to create this wonderful line of jewellery.
