Giraffe Love is a yarn embroidered picture on felt for framing, featuring embroidery, in differing yarns on a double layer of felt, between the two layers of pale blue and beige felt, I have placed card to stiffen the picture slightly and give it some rigidity. Then edge stitched, to ensure the cotton and yarn workings cannot be seen from behind.

I have left the backing beige felt over large to act as a frame for the giraffe, but of course this could be trimmed back if you prefer.

This picture of the heads of baby and parent giraffe, coming together in a loving embrase was inspired by my love of nature and is the latest in my animal series. As I am predominently a yarn crafter, rather than an artist, I felt a textural embroidered picture would suit my style of crafting.

Approximate measurements of the picture as a whole is approx 11cms by 14cms (4 & 1/4 inches by 5 & 1/2 inches).
