An original mixed media collage 8" x 8" x 3/4" ready to hang. The wooden box frame is homemade, the paper covering is taken from discarded books and the squares are generated in software. The poem is by Emily Dickinson and it is repeated in full below. Finally a coat of clear protective lustre varnish is applied to the piece.

This piece is representative of the special sites I find in the countryside, repositories of understanding and communication, a link through and with the distant past and to all those who have stopped and thought the same. The squares depict the sky above them and their place and meaning in my life.
