This Ladybird Pin Pot is inspired by the British seven spot ladybird 'Coccinella Septempuncta', the most common ladybird in Europe. The ladybird features in many folklore tales, but the name derives from both the common and scientific (from the Latin - septem - 'seven' and punctata - 'spotted'.

This shy little fellow nestles between the blades of grass in the top of a terracotta pot.
