This unique ring is made from an old broken skateboard deck. Skateboards are made from a 7 ply Canadian maple with a coloured outer layer. The ring features a green section of the skateboard deck that has been disk cut and inserted into a unisex ring base.

The outer edges have been hand sanded and sealed with natural beeswax, which brings out the colour but offers a more natural finish than varnish.

The skateboard disk is just under 1cm in diameter and are is supplied on a stainless steel ring blank which is 1 cm in width and adjustable to fit most ring sizes.

I belong to a family of skaters and I have an abundance of old broken and un-used skateboards laying around my house. My husband has mounted some in our house and is also making garden gates, chairs and tables out of the whole ones. I have bagsied the broken pieces to create this wonderful line of jewellery.
